Special Events have become big business and many communities invest heavily to attract and produce events that draw visitors and generate economic impact. Since 2012, the Town of Vail has engaged RRC annually to research the impact of hundreds of events and evaluate their impacts both on the local economy and the image of Vail.

In 2018/2019, RRC Associates utilized intercept research and economic data to evaluate 30 special events including concerts, festivals, gourmet events and ski races.

Town leaders and staff in Vail want to know if their investment in sponsoring events is worthwhile as well as how visitors rate the community as a destination. Since we started the program, RRC has evolved our reporting to include dashboard reports for each event that offer highlights including economic impact numbers and Net Promoter Scores (NPS) in a concise and graphic format. We then follow up with more comprehensive reports for each event season
